Dn-FamiTracker is a continuation of j0CC-FamiTracker and a fork of 0CC-FamiTracker that incorporates numerous fixes and features. The meaning of the name "Dn" is "Derivative n", which alludes to this fork being the nth derivative of the original FamiTracker program.

For entries on BotB to the three nsf formats (regular, classic and plus), it's recommended to stick with version 0.4.0.1

, as there are some issues with sound consistency in exported .nsf files and multi-expansion pieces may not export at all. Backwards compatibility with .ftm and .0cc (both of which are also BotB formats, although the latter is retired) also breaks beyond this version. However, versions 0.5.1 and 0.5.2 have fixed most of the export issues, with further fixes and compatibility settings currently in development.
