ok so i looked into the problem a bit more...from what i gathered, it looks like you have a google organization account (i.e., an account managed by an organization such as a company or university) and that your account admin hasn't enabled access to my maps on your profile. you're gonna need to ask your organization administrator to enable it for you. from what i've seen, it's enabled by default on regular google accounts so this is the most i can really tell you after looking into the problem myself.

i'm writing now to say meeting up with e-friends is fun and nice, and you don't need to wait for permission for it. you can just send the message! hanging out with friends is a good time. making music together is also a great bonding exercise. you can do it!

No need to put your exact location, I’m sure lots of people don’t (myself included). I think it’s more of just a fun way to see where people are generally at in the world.

I wanted to see if I could add a pin to the exact building in Ann Arbor where A2IEMC2 was held as a "Birthplace of BotB" location mark, but finding the exact location just by going off the lyceum's description is a bit difficult with the missing context.
