I do listen to all of the entries.
If I rate something all fours it's because that's what I feel it deserves.
Sometimes I vote lower if I dislike a song or if it seems low effort.
I'll vote higher than all fours if I like it, but will hardly ever rate anything a seven because perfection is unobtainable.

I feel neutral about most things.

Something you didn't mention is the social aspect of BotB.
Giving each other feedback on each others music is
arguably more important to this site than the competitive aspect.

In the future I'll try to leave more comments on the songs I do like and try to explain why I think they stand out.

Writing doesn't come naturally to me though.
Words are hard, that's why it took me a week to respond.
