I had a fun idea today as I was thinking about DnD and the ability to multiclass.

BotB multi-classing! It's exactly what it sounds like.

Basically, I'm picturing an option in profile settings where a user could enable multi-classing if they want. If selected a dual class would show up in their profile and wherever else we see class description now. This would use the top two highest scoring classes rather than one. I'm assuming this would have to go the points level at the last level up, since this is when logic determines the class.

I'd look like:
kilowatt64 Level 27 Chipist/Pixelist

There could be some interesting combos out there that would be fun to see, and we might see some of the classes around that we see less often this way. Chipist/Writist? Mixist/Pedagogist?

This wouldn't affect the class leaderboard which would still just rely on primary class.

Thoughts?

I know there's a meta game to making sure you have a certain number of points when you level up to ensure you get the title you're looking for - I guess this wouldn't really get in the way of that, since it'd be optional, and if anything, like you said, it'd be fun to see people's 'secondary' classes too.

this sounds fun to me. more self expression good! (...mine would be very boring as Chipist/Mixist lol)

i have a piggyback thought which has been brought up before but - an alternate version of the leaderboard that is just top 10s by points, not by primary class; so like the mappists list and pedagogists list etc would look way different

@The Diad i dunno, i think considering a looooot of people would choose to multi-class, you would have a lot of aura being a really goated solo-class

I forgot I had even proposed this. Not to derail, but on a related note, I am currently playing Baldster's Gain 3 and am multiclassing a monk. No one can stop me from living my dreams

edit: dang, were this in effect on botb I'd have already lost my pixelist subclass. Bummer

i’m thinking this could be pretty cool. i do think having the choice to enable it would be better - say someone has a LOT of latist points and doesn’t want that on their profile? (while i doubt there is a case where this exists, i do think it’s worth considering)

so yes, all for this idea, but have it be optional or toggleable in the user settings or something.

latist points are negative, so as long as you have any other 2 classes, it will never be your second highest one

Aww it's too bad there is no class 5, nobody will be able to be 5/6

that's a good point kleeder. i think i'm just saying that some people might not be interested in having multiple classes and would rather just have one. so having it be toggleable keeps everyone happy.
