Alliteration babie!
Thread title says it all. What is the cringiest thing that has happened to you because of chiptune? (Do not confess to crimes, I don't want to hear how you robbed a bank while listening to unreal superhero).
I'll go ahead and get us started. Today, I came in to work at 8:00 tired as usual (twas a Monday after all). Anyways, I had brought my cassette player but was currently listening to "the worst video game OSTs of all time" on YT to cheer myself up for the day ahead.
Normally, my boss is working from home on Mondays, but he was in today. As I was listening to this absolute garbage I hear his footsteps approaching. I didn't have enough time to turn off the cellular device. So he comes in and sees my cassette player and starts talking all nostalgic like about the good old days when tapes were all he had and whatnot. Meanwhile, I'm just trying not to laugh at loud with the absolute cacophony that is currently blasting in my eardrums. Eventually, I couldn't take it any more and had to reach for my phone and turn it off while he was there. I would not wish this situation on my worst enemy.
