Moved to a new place recently. It's so much better than the previous one! My window faces the sunrise. The kitchen was built in a way that makes it easier to cook. And the forest park I visit since childhood is closer to me than ever.

I have my second child due in August, and today my 19 month old daughter patted my wife's bump after she said 'baby', first recognition from her that something is actually happening

i passd a class with much higher grades than i thought i wld get!!! i thought i wld barely pass but i got a 93% !!! this calls for a huge party with 11 jumbo bottles o tapatío. everyone is invited

my girl friend is soon to acquire the way to travel WHENEVER. this is cool. she will be able to come to my home and hug me more often and i like this. 10/10 all women should have machines of great displacement

This has been an astoundingly difficult year in ways that even just typing out would cause me to cry (oops I'm doing it anyway), but through the hardships which I was able to be candid about I have found that I have people who love me and care about my wellbeing. I'm excited to be close to releasing new albums, one of the games I did music for is coming out soon, have made a lot of progress in my hobbies (inline skate, target shoot), and I know eventually I'll be myself again.. I hate have strong opinions about my job, but I can leave some day and I have Survival from it today. I don't have to wonder if a trip to the doctor will ruin me financially for the first time in 9 years.

It's very hard to feel good most days but I'm trying to learn to use the optimism I provide to others for myself and I know that me right now feels a lot happier than me two months ago.

i have been struggling a lot 2023, probably the worst year of my life in terms of mental health, but i have a partner now for the first time in my life and she has been a beacon of light in an otherwise dark year. we both love each other very much and it has been nothing but an incredible experience so far for the both of us. it is honestly pretty astounding how perfect we are for each other; i'm hoping it works out long term for us

I recently met with and reconnected with one of my best friends who I hadn't talked to in years. We were originally a group of 5 friends, but that's too depressing to talk about. Anyway, it's so relieving to finally talk with someone who knows me so well, and our humor just flows so naturally off one another. We had a great time, and I plan on hanging out a lot more. Struggling with trade school, college, and work simultaneously had made me very on edge about my future, but now I feel like I can make it. I'm not alone anymore, and together we've been helping each other up. It makes me very happy, and hopeful for the future.

ok i'll bite, budding relationship with someone where neither of us speak each others' native languages so we both have to use japanese, which both of us are ....uhhh.... fluent enough in.......

Something as simple as watching the second season of K-ON!!, 13 years after its release and almost 5 years after I watched season 1. Why it took me so long? Idk, but it's virtually impossible that Houkago Tea Time doesn't make you happy.

it smells like winter, which means MORE SEASONAL FOOD is available at the markets, MORE CRISP AIR moves around and makes me feel absolutely PEAK PERFORMANCE, and also i can go outside with TEN LAYERS of COMFY HOODIES on and not be criticised no more for it :D

typically around September I kinda get more miserable, I blame it on school, and how miserably cold and dark it gets. Though some stuff has been keeping me happy recently.

starting doing some acting stuff recently, made me swallow my pride but i've been enjoying it. music and OHBs always keep me going too. really i think this time of year i kinda have to appreciate what i have otherwise ill just become miserable, still FUCK school taking all my freetime though.

Yesterday I received a recalculation and I have only 2 more student loan payments until I qualify for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. And its a lot of money to hopefully not worry about anymore

got into the uni i wanted to get into with A* A* B

My girlfriend moved closer to where I live, and instead of an hour to visit her, it's only ten minutes. She is much closer to work as well, only a minute drive. I'm able to hang out with her on break more often.

Also, my girlfriend. I could talk about her for pages about how much she means to me and how we've both mentally helped each other out, but she's stuck with me through this terrible summer at a terrible job we both are sick of, and I couldn't ask for more from her.

I also got moved from morning shift to closing night shift at my job, which I'm excited about. Business will be slower and I can chill with the night crew, which is way more relaxed and stress-free than morning crew.

Lastly, I've just started my second year of college! Writing more music and stories, drumming and learning acoustic guitar, and really enjoying life. This has been the craziest three months I swear haha

i've been at college for a week and so far, so good! i've made some cool friends in the band and just around. got a girl's instagram too so that's pretty neat. classes aren't too bad, and the food here is good. life is going well.

I just visited the local county fair, where my partner won a Battle of the Knits (she placed first in the knitting division of the arts and crafts exhibition). She was also part of a group demonstrating how to spin yarn, and got lots of interested passersby touching her alpaca fleece sample and asking how the spinning wheel works.

I love the county fair in general, and I love the arts and crafts exhibition in particular for the same reasons I love BotB: it's a place for people to show off independent projects with a minimal barrier to entry, there's tons of variety, and a lot of it is quite impressive. This year the fair also hosted an event where local wall artists painted murals onsite.

And since the region I live in is stereotypically associated with soulless techbros (for good reason), it's all the more refreshing to visit an event that celebrates all this local creativity.

(plus there are exhibitions of livestock, so I got to see lots of bunnies and chickens and goats)

I'm starting school tomorrow and feel ready for anything >/////<

from wednesday to saturday was a convention which i got the tickets at literally the last minute for. i attended panels and meetups, saw live performances, and even got a Large Dose of Chip & Demo!! it's been a few days and im still in awe of the entire event. everyone was so nice and i made a bunch of friends... im so glad i went!!
