WHAT ARE YOUR BotB GOALS??

Everyone say a couple goals you have for the rest of the year or so!
I'll go first!

1. Acquire 3 badges
2. Get a bronze/silver/gold in 1 or 2 major battle(s)
3. Level up to Lvl.20

my goals for the year are:
✅ get a major medal that isn't klystrack silver 😭
✅ have at least one of my entries enter in the top 40 in spring tracks, winter and/or summer chip.
✅ have 7 format badges
✅ get s3xmodit bronze

perfect 35 ohb nothing else

Vocal badge! Do a few collabs! Make some stuff and listen to some stuff!

Provide more feedback and thought comments on entries in battles where I participate. Start sharing comments on OHB entries post battle close as a part of this.

my main goal is to a) get faster at writing b) be able to actually finish stuff lol. i have a bad habit of liking how something is going and not touching it anymore cuz im afraid of messing it up

this makes me realize i'm actually pretty low on goals! my biggest ones are really close to attainment actually:
1) reach 2nd place in points (only 4k off from passing strobe rn)
2) have the most major medals (afaik strobe also has the most and i only need to fill one more row to pass him)

i don't think i have any more specific goals other than to keep hosting and to keep participating, whatever pace that ends up being

woa! people ASPIRE??? i gotta think hard about this

1) do completionist run of any major. its gotta be like a MAJOR major and not just 5 formats
2) not rly botb-related, but since i put botb and music in the same category i might as well include it: actually follow through with making an album !! im super bad at working on personal things bc i cant resist ohbs
3) get more chipist points. i have too many mixist points and i want to get a variety of other points
4) FIRST MUSESCORE GOLD. yea forget what i said in my 3rd point, enfortunately im a mixist at heart

short term goals are getting atleast three badges (plaintext, pixel and famicom classic)

long term goal is to git gud

uncertain goal is to host ohb

from the ones i posted above, i met the first goal and am realllly close to meeting the second, i only need like five more major battle trophies of any sort...

another one i thought of that would be cool: win a spring tracks. i have won a summer chip, and i have won a winter chip, but i have not won a spring tracks. gonna keep my hopes for that somewhere in my back pocket, maybe. >:)

i don't really know when i'll have the time and energy but there are definitely still a few badges in formats i like that i'd like to get / am relatively close to. but i have no particular aspirations to get All badges like kleeder

To get 3rd place or higher in a major in nsf or gen/furnace I already got 7th in nsf, so I'm gonna aim higher next time. I still need to study and practice a bunch before that happens though...

figure out how to make music in one hour. everybody just seems to have it down and I'm struggling with every remix/allgear ohb that is put out.

Get a badge, but that is optimistic as I only have so much time and I'm 5 good tracks away from the nearest format badge

I wanna try to interact more! I've been on this site for almost two years and I hardly ever say a word after a battle. I feel like I'm missing out on a big part of botb by not interacting with you guys.

I would also like to collab with someone since I've never done that before.

id say rn its a mix btwn interacting with ppl more and being able to host in any format, i wanna be able to bring the spotlight to some weirder formats that i dont rlly see ppl hosting often/at all

its funny, i think if i had seen this post when i first joined i wouldve said something like "getting gold at all in a battle" but then i did that ? and i still dont rlly know how that happened lol

well, in short:

getting back to hosting battles
ascending (lvl 27)
getting a gold badge
getting more ppl on botb
preventing opm from taking over botb with his anti-tree pigeon empire

Try to never place outside of top 7 so adding up my Golds, Silvers, Bronzes, and Tincans equals my number of submissions always

Update: Fuck I lost it lmao, guess now I'll try and keep my top 7 rate above 90%

I am mostly here to learn and have fun. If I happen to get more badges or a tincan+ in a decent-sized battle along the way then that is cool.

Kinda just wanna push this account past my old one, which shouldn't be toooo hard.
Oh, and actually making more music overall is a fun and good idea. This platform seems like the key to it, at least.

My goals for now: return back to being active on this site, and we will further find out from there

Goal: start working more on NON-botb music lol

Admittedly, I joined this site a little sporadically for YEA VIDEOGAME after being aware of it for awhile. I have a lot of music goals, and especially compositions, I want to get done by the end of the summer separate from BotB, but reflecting on it a little more I think my main tasks are clear:

- Get musical ideas from my brain to be something audible faster
- Become more familiar with other methods of composition
- Polish music formats I'm already familiar with

I think I've gotten a taste of all 3 of these in some minor ways just from my first battle, but I think there's a lot more on the horizon for me in terms of unlocking new abilities on these fronts, and I think most of them will go towards helping me in endeavors both in and outside of BotB.

Getting better at making music is why I signed up on here. That still is my goal.

2- Do enough to get badge in something.
3- Learn how to use a Tracker.
4- Get more points in stuff other than Criticist.
5- Make stuff just because I want to make stuff.

Well they're not goals that I'll finish this year, but goals I want to keep having every day on BotB: Learning how to make good music fast, and using that knowledge as a way to learn how to make excellent music by myself locked in my room letting the hours pass by without hitting a creative wall.
I also like songs that tell a story, so I might try to learn how to write lyrics.

Ight, might update this, here's the plans for next year.

1. Get at least three badges
2. Level up at least twice
3. Release AceTracker in some way, shape, or form.

1. Avoid 500 badges.
2. Never have enough boons to post outside of noob.
3. Be the playa I was born to be.

i think my goal is to just have fun and be a good botbr.

I think also to try a lot of different things. I am so happy that there are writing, music, drawing, photography, and even level design. It would help me to learn this stuff, yeah

I want to get better at completing songs. I think BotB is gonna help a lot with that.

I want to earn my first medal too! Coming in 5th in my first minor made me feel very inspired. So I guess that’s the big goal!
