XHBition, also known as No-Major-Month or XHB-only month, is a special event that took place in June 2026, where no major battles were in their submission period throughout the entire month.
The event was first announced via
news bulletin and organized/"hosted" by
mirageofher.
Background
Historically, there have been a lot of "breather" periods between major
battles to give people time to do OHBs or to recover from the major battle stress.
Since 2020, there had been ongoing battles almost nonstop. A mix of seasonal battles (like
Winter Chip,
Spring Tracks or
Summer Chip) and
Monthly Format Challenges will keep
BotBrs busy through the whole year.
When
Decadent Decade II launched and added yet another big event on top of the pile, a slight battle fatigue started to set in in the community.
To counteract on this, the BotB Elderz thought of something special: A month without major battles in entry period.
Something that sounds simple is a big rarity in 2026.
While
Decadent Decade II and
Spring Tracks XV remained in their voting period, there are no open battles through the full month of June. In other words, it is possible to host new XHBs nonstop and even try to
break the previous record from February 2023 (with 225 XHBs).
Results
XHBition 2026 beat the previous record of 225, ending with 235 battles hosted in a calendar month!
The event XHBonanza was hosted on the 28th, wherein
roz encouraged BotBrs to beat their personal record of submissions to the site in 1 day, as well as to beat the overall record of entries submitted to the site in 1 day! The overall record was beaten with 169 entries!
