OHB, shorthand for
One Hour Battle, is one of the three
XHB types available on BotB. It was formerly known as OHC, meaning "One Hour Compo". The first OHBs appeared in late 2006 and are the most occuring battle type on
BotB with over 4500 battles until 2020, before
2HBs and
4HBs got added.

Entering an OHB
The OHB lasts one hour. All entries should be uploaded before this time expires. If an OHBist needs more time to upload their entry then they can use the "Submit late" button (or add /Submit to the end of the OHB URL), but this means that the OHBist will not be able to claim any
points for uploading to that OHB!! Their entry will also lose one point per minute late on their final score and this could affect their placing (effective 16 aug 2013) so submit early and be on time!!!!
You are not allowed to premake an entry for an OHB (unless the rules specify otherwise)!
Trophies
The top three entrants are given gold (
), silver (
), or bronze (
) OHB trophies that appear on their profile.
How to Host
To host an OHB, there are four requirements that you must meet:
- Have at least 725* boons. (You will get these back if three or more people participate in your battle.)
- Have a badge for the format that you want to host.
- Have made a bitpack for the battle.
- Be in the site's IRC/Discord channel.
Admins (
), Mighty BotBrs (
) with seven or more format badges, and Ascended BotBrs (
) can host a battle in any format, but they also need the 725* boons.
You're able to disable late penalties by paying b500 extra. (You don't get them back and participants still get latist points, so be aware!)
