Metal is a BotB major battle that typically occurs every year or so. Entries in this battle are required to be metal or heavy rock, hence the name.

There have been seven Metal battles so far.
After 6 allgear battles in 6 years, the series stayed dormant for a while, before finally returning with the 7th installment 8 years later, albeit with a different set of formats.
