My lack of music theory knowledge is about to bite me in the butt. But at least I know how to change time signatures!!

I'm not very well-kept in my music theory, so I doubt I'd be able to keep anything but the second limit valid. I love time signature changing, so it'll be fun. B)

You guys really should just learn these exact things for the sake of this round, they're very fun limitations.

Seems like the majority of people who'll opt for the time signature one will do so because aaaa music theory. I've heard of minor ninths but it's gonna be a headache to actively keep using them, and I never know what key signature I'm in! Maybe for future rounds make sure at least one rule doesn't require much music theory like it is now and it should be fiiiiiine.

Minor ninths are easy if you understand minor seconds: C next to C# is a minor second, C next to C# an octave up is a minor ninth. It's essentially the same thing.

And the reason it's a limitation is because it sounds terrible. It's the most dissonant dyad.

That's the problem though, I've never properly learnt music theory so I feel like I might not follow some of the limitations properly or particularly well, even though they're fairly basic, and I don't have too much time to look into details. Minor ninths don't seem like a particularly complicated concept, and neither does changing key signatures, but something like changing time signatures is simple, so much preferred.

I know the limitations don't have to be strictly followed but I wanna make sure I do so!

Like, for each person who doesn't enter, a KITTEN dies, and the process of killing the kitten is recorded, split up into various DPCM samples, and THAT'S their entry.

Can everyone who didn't drop out pass through because that is a lot of absent people

Again, sorry I couldn't come up with anything for this round. I gonna be completely honest here when I say I lost interest in this (don't kill me please).

Well, we certainly got to the final rounds quick.

If we start going by eliminating the bottom half we can still kick out a few more rounds

Thanks to your spreadsheet, I have determined that everyone qualifies for the next round simply because the bottom four have been taken up by people that didn't enter.

Most likely the "bottom four" will be taken from the people who did enter, meaning next round will have 12 applicants.
