This is a call to all you awesome botbrs who participated in last month's amazing XHBition!!
I want you to drop a link to one single entry you made over the course of the XHBition; the one you think you're proudest of/pleased the most with/like the most.

I know we already upload major battles onto bandcamp. Dunno if there is any chance of that happening with something like the XHBition, but probably a good idea sharing our proudest work now while it's fresh in all our memories.
And even if that were never to happen, I think it's just a fun chance to look at everyone's highlights for last month!

I'm not really sure which entry is my fav, submitted a lot but was mostly experimenting a lot of the time. If I had to choose then maybe unseen threat has to be my fav.

my favourite XHBition entry is probably oceanlight... it's been quite a while since i have created a piece so freely and easily, so this song is like a reassurance to me: "your work is paying off!"

I'll go with story cave, which was an entry made for arceus's burf.

Just relistened to all my entries from XHBition! 56 total entries, some are rough, others I'm pretty proud of. Especially towards the end! I think this month was a good training arc for me.

I could list several, especially ones that I have plans for, but if I were to pick one favorite it'd probably be Solstice. It was such a delight to collab with a bunch of lovely BotBrs, I just wish I had more time to develop and polish the track (I was #latetomyownXHB). I might revisit this track eventually too, but for now I'll cherish the memory of frantically messaging everyone for stems 💜

...Okay I'm cheating, but I also love CTCHAWAV, I keep finding myself singing it two weeks on 😁

i look back on most of my entries fondly, so its difficult to pick one..

if i had to pick itd probably be cheesecake board, i find myself playing with its ideas quite often

I unfortunately was not able to participate in this XHBition much (busy with work) but I am quite proud of this entry. I think it's pretty good.

i wasn't very active because i spent half of the month being sick and other half suffering the heat wave. but out of the little i managed to make, probably "frail". it is underbaked, but i like the textures and it may be interesting to revisit as a soundtrack piece or so.

honorable mention to this spc entry, not because it's good, but because it shows a glimpse of what i could do with a snes if i spent longer than 45 minutes on an entry. foreshadowing!

Tough to pick just one, but I like how "another perspective" turned out!

you guys have impressive fortitude, I only made 4, and I think only "tractor acid" was not a throwaway at the end of the day, it came out pretty kewl

my proudest xhbition entry has to be toaster oven. a tune I made in less than an hour for smth in the kitchen. one minute of music and I even entered on time!

fakebit ohb. full daw's legit for the format; I went Furnace. YM2151 + SegaPCM. with eight channels of fm I made five horns! top voice even has a full reverb channel so six channels dedicated to horns. ch1 hats; ch8 bass

as xhbition month went forward I got faster; what used to take me days now took minutes. sometimes I had just enough time in an hour to trim and mix samples. toaster oven uses the snare I readied for stealth time; iirc I cleared out 40hz and under, boosted the meaty part in the low hundreds, opened up space at 750hz, pushed 5khz really hard, and saved it all as 8-bit 31250hz. tambourine at 15625hz. and so the ch1 fm hats got to take the absolute top of the soundscape more or less wide open

there's a really harmonically rich bell I made as like a clavinet or a wurlitzer down low on ch7. mb even kinda like a bassoon but not totally. alg0; op4 at 7x, op3 at 5x, op2 at 10x, and op1 at 13x to both make the instrument noisier and glue everything together. mb I'll get the .fur on Chiptune Up soon; I got a lot of loose ends to tie up. with fm I can really thin out the sound and stay clear of the bass even when the notes are really low

and yeah I make the fm instruments from the ground up each time! if I just remember what works and why; I never have to care about a folder or presets or anything confusing

really having a hard time describing the sound of the piece; warm, kinda bright, seven beats bc why wait for eight, less odd time than just a steady power walk thru the breather at the end of what would otherwise be a more straight ahead time sig. really fits what it feels like to me to fire up the toaster oven. and I even got the big tincan

it was nearly a tossup; toaster oven stood out just a bit more for me than sgen 2HB day time city which felt really spot-on and complete; they both convinced me to take a thorough look at my recent xhbs and release fm computer 3

to complete this chapter of my music after the planets major and before the metal major and this year's summer chip

despite how detuned and weird beach chillin is, I am the most fond of it, I think it's a lovely tune I made in the midst of the xhbition.
