- End it abruptly/suddenly
- Song loops and adds fade-out
- "Instruments/elements" were descended sequentially
or other?? (comment)

I did them various depending on the mood, making songs... But I like the third choice just because.

my favorite way, but that only works when doing an album or EP or anything, is to let it flow naturally into the next song

I like to build up to the ending and finish a track with the ultimate crash and final notes! I normally do this in minor and major battles, but if I am in a rush to submit, a minimal ending with a crash/fade-out is made (and in rare occasions, an abrupt ending).

Whatever seems to make sense with the song. Is it intended to loop, like a bgm track? If so, then a fade out works. Is it meant to be a single musical statement that doesn’t loop? If so, then some other ending technique.

I’ve always wondered why fade outs get called out, I’m not sure if people generally consider those endings less desirable for some reason. It seems to imply to me that listeners can read them as a cop out, but I might be misreading that. for me they work
