Yeah, I'm pretty sure we all get fscked over by format mixups once or twice. It happens. I know it's frustrating, but try not to take it too hard. OHBs are pretty common, you'll get it next time. I've sent in ftms instead of nsfs a bunch of times, and I once submitted a zero byte SID track because I was too drunk to operate Goattracker.

i've certainly done this before too. so it goes.

while it sucks to lose out on badge progress/scoreboard placement you gotta remember that the real gift of BotB is progressing as a composer. the whole competition/ARG structure is just a giant rube goldberg machine made of php and scotch tape that exists to harness and steer your reward-seeking instincts towards productivity.

so you didn't win the fake competition - ok, but did you make a piece of art that you are proud of? then you still won the game that really matters. chin up!
