Hey, all! I'm new here and would like to submit to the Winter Chip X competition. However, I'm unfortunately a bit stingy with my tracks. Is it taboo at all to submit a track to a competition and then use it on a separate release, say on a netlabel or on Bandcamp?

Also, a total n00b question: how do I change my profile pic? :/

"Submit to Botb then submit elsewhere" is a fine way round. You'll find people like Kulor and Fearofdark have used songs they have submitted onto botb first for their albums later on, and there are many on botb that put up their tracks on soundcloud once the competition and voting is over. "Submit somewhere and then submit to botb", is a bit more dubious and it is down to the voter how much credit to give you for it. As for the profile pic, you need boons, which can be gained by almost all activities going in the site. That, and I think you need to be a certain level.
