ive noticed that when these kind of entries have come up in the past, that abstract profile pictures or anything that does not fit into the 'original character' bubble is largely overlooked - which i think is a shame because i dont think that the artist's intention is to exclude.

to mitigate this, ive done my best to give a more simplified interpretation of what i think my picture is representing (i would ask my dad who originally painted it but he's not especially available at the moment, and is unlikely to remember.)

Question: Is it okay to elude to non-BotBrs in our entry if they're associated with the BotBrs in some way? I know that they are not the focus of the battle so I would not make a non-BotBr the focus of an entry, but I was wondering what the rule on them being semi-present at all was, be it a silhouette or otherwise.

my character is just the purpl umb i have as my pfp. just make sure the rings and eyes are purpl (or just as close to the colors in my pfp) and you're good to go!
if you really wanna get a feel for the colors, try using this!

yes i am calling for as many people as possible to send their skins over on my thread! otherwise i might not be able to do it with like only 10 people...

then again... how would you guys feel if i put people in who didnt send their skins in the thread? like, if i used a skin that is appropriately similar to ur avatar? hmmm. it would help bring alot of people in the mix, since for example tex doesnt need references from the actual botbrs or anything, just based on avatar or an oc. then again, it might look strange for some people considering it has to be on a humanoid form (and i dont know if could manage to make custom models or something?)

If you make your own skin of a BotBr that doesn't have one that's basically drawing that BotBr in your style, which is the whole essence of this battle, so I think that'd be totally appropriate in my opinion.

also, what do you guys think about using skins others have uploaded online, such as places like the skindex, novaskin or namemc, for this purpose? i dont think there would be any issues copyright wise (though i would have to look into that) but im a little iffy about doing so since that could probably count as unoriginal work. what i mean is when others have an avatar that is of an existing charater, e.g toadette for kleeder

@NikoAnimation I would compare that to someone using a Toadette statue they have lying around their house to represent kleeder, which, given this is a visuall battle, would be perfectly permissible; that is to say, if you take these things and do unique things with them like posing or whatnot, it would be fine. There may be a potential for concern with using some random internet user's personal Toadette skin without their knowledge or agreement, or especially without crediting where you got the skin from, but I wouldn't know what the bounds on that kind of gray area would be.
