its me. kleeder back in germany.

i just came back from a three week roadtrip LA - Seattle - LA i did together with mioh with stops in San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, Portland and Olympia.

North CA, Oregon and Washington have some amazing landscapes and pretty forests and we really enjoyed our time up there.

another very cool thing (and the main reason for this bulletin) is how many botbrs live in the area.

we met Lasertooth in San Jose, Tristendo in Sacramento, petet and damifortune in Portland, coda and aji in Seattle and DBOYD in Olympia.
all these meetups were a lot of fun. it was so cool to finally have a face to talk to and not just a username. meeting botbrs is awesome. we want to encourage other botbrs to do the same, and have a look at the BotBr Location Map, maybe there is someone closer to your current location than you think.
every botbr ive met so far has been super friendly and chill to hang around with. i want to say thanks for spending your afternoon with us to the 7 people we met - and we hope it was as much fun for you as for us!

for the curious:
- we went to a national park with lasertooth and then ate ramen together
- we went to a vietnamese restaurant with trist
- we chilled at the japanese garden with petet and dami, then ate ramen together - a day later we went to the retro gaming expo portland with dami
- we walked around downtown seattle with aji - a day later went to a bar with coda and aji
- we went to a vietnamese restaurant with dboyd

... okay lots of eating. eating is also very cool and we encourage other botbrs to do the same.

I know you expressed a lack of interest in doing an East Coast US trip, but at the very least there seems to be a decent concentration of BotBr's in New England and the tri-state area (Northeast US)... perchance we could be worth your time if a later occasion saw fit for such 😳

Also, just now realizing a BotBr is one town over from me?! This is valuable intel...

hello virtualman, thank you for having us, what a wonderful little place this is!
i cannot speak for german influences here, besides the funny street names that pop up at random. but this reminds me of a funny situation... it was when klaedde wanted to go to a place called wienerschnitzel, which ended up only selling american hot dogs instead of actual wienerschnitzel. i still make fun of her reaction to this day.
regarding ramen, the only times we ate it was in cities, which are widely known for having expensive food as is. also, my memory fails me (it is filled with wonderful taste and the quality company we dined with) so i also cannot comment on this in detail.
