Hey guys,
I just released a new album!
100% hardware, all synths and drum machines, recorded direct to tape with no overdubs or anything added later.
There are a lot of FM sounds on here!
You can read all the details in the album description if you’re interested!
Have a good day!

One Listen Later™

really dig the warm-tape aesthetic this entire album has - no wonder, it's because all songs have been recorded to a 4track. reminds me of how much i miss the tape deck i had...

you've always killed it with your synth solos and this album is no exception - all tracks are pretty much plastered with them, and i dig that.

fun jams all round! though i won't lie i do kinda wish they were turned into full productions, but then a certain level of this "homelyness"? would be lost, like the sorta-budding musician in the 90s (And given the circumstances i think that was the point too so you did very well)

i rather enjoyed listening - thanks for sharing!

After spending SEVERAL (2) pizza delivery shifts listening to the newest Moot Box Loot album, I am ready to report my findings.

{
TRACK_SUM: 6,
TOTAL_DURATION: [0,33,9],
FAVE_TRACK: `DX House`,
LEAST_PREFFERED: `Mood Shifter II`
}

plz set the default track to da 1st one...i always listen to three songs, then get confused when it suddenly ends - <-

King in Exile is a Funk & Electro House album named after mootbooxle's (King) long absence from BotB (Stopped poasting). Its six tracks are disparate in tone, but not in style, with the middle third's FM basses in particular sharing DNA with the inspirations of Genesis music.

I think of improv-heavy house songs like this as public playgrounds, which provide enough space to allow all manner of ADHD children (timbres) to play as they wish. Between the bookends, you've got a masterclass of exhibition that accomplishes just that. DX House in particular is an ~ exquisite ~ museum of the computer instruments and melodic statements that made me a musician in the first place. The reason Mood Shifter is weaker to me is because its relatively simple two-bar motif, played in big sustained block chords, hogs the spotlight for too long. The parade is buried a little bit as it hogs the mic, and by Mood Shifter II, we've exhausted the concept. At every other moment, you've given enough space between all the staccato to let every improvised riff sing, and I think that's poggers.

I don't actually know anything about music.
