All proceeds from the album will go to the ACLU. Additionally, Bandcamp has stated that all of the profits they make today will also go to the ACLU

I'm happy to see a new release but why does it have to be lumped in with a political statement...

It seems pretty obvious that the artist is trying to do their small part to support the movement. I'd also like to thank whoever it was that bought 3 BotB albums on bandcamp today at $15 a pop! I mean, if you don't like politics, take the cynical approach. I bet bandcamp sales are through the roof today!!

art is fulla political statements; i think donating your proceeds to a non-profit that you support is a pretty mild one

A bit crappy that if you don't support the politics, you are barred from the art.

how twisted do your politics have to become that you end up disapproving of the ACLU

My reason for giving money to the ACLU is more out of fear of possible LGBT discrimination than anger over the immigration ban.

I only just realized this but there wasn't even a minimum on the album. If you really didn't want to support the ACLU you could've just said "no thank you" and downloaded the album for free lol

i think it was $1 minimum when i bought it

Just want to apologize, my initially setting a minimum was wanting to give those who purchased the sense they were obtaining something of value. I since reconsidered my position, I made a post about it here: https://www.facebook.com/Shnabubula/posts/994532490647804

Also one point worth mentioning, without me wanting to be a part of the specific movement mentioned, it's very unlikely any of this material would have been released. I needed a cause to have the motivation to go tracking all this stuff down.

Not sure if that helps or hurts my case though...
