Maybe what you need is a new piece of software or a cool new synth or plugin or something! That can help move you into new sonic territory, having a new toy to experiment with.

yea man it works really well! I took it for a test drive: http://picosong.com/WhBY/ all of these sounds I used were super dry and harsh, only effect I used was your rack

I think the one thing that could improve it is better quality reverb. ableton's isn't the worst but it's not that great really. other higher quality verbs get closer and closer to feeling like a real room and it's easier to use this more subtly.

I actually checked out the muverb for myself and you're right, it's really bad lol. I did find one free reverb that I tried out and think sounds excellent, maybe you could give it try: http://www.voxengo.com/product/oldskoolverb/

Is it new or used, also where was it made? If you can get a used american made P bass for that price range then it is probably a pretty good deal. be sure to check completed ebay listing to get a better idea of what these kinds of things go for.
