~600 individual samples and ~200 individual instruments
this is a good resource for those who would like to track their MIDIs instead of sequencing them with a piano roll, but you'd maybe have to use OpenMPT, as I'm not aware of any other tracker that can export MIDIs (maybe Renoise can but I'm not a Renoise user...)
It's also just handy if you want the MSGS instruments and don't care about exporting to a MID file, I guess.
Note: not everything is accurate, mainly due to the differences between how MIDIs work and how trackers like OpenMPT and such work. The biggest one will be envelopes, again due to what I just mentioned.
Everything you'll hear in your tracker of choice will sound different in your MIDI player of choice(i personally use ay-emul but that's just because it has an option to play midis haha) (i use Winamp), one notable example is how the synth drums patch won't be pitched in your module tracker of choice, but they will be in the exported midi, which is I think a result of how it's handled on actual MIDI synths like the SC-55 vs how it's handled in MSGS.
anyhow, I hope you enjoy this little resource. Have fun with it!
UPDATED download because Dropbox has very stinky storage limits.: here
