Mariopants is an easy to use Mario Paint clone. It is made by rainwarrior and currently only available on Windows. You can download version 1.0
here on his website.
It was created because it was very inconvenient to save Mario Paint savestates. Then this program was created and now anyone can make wonderful Mario Paint music!
Features
Mariopants can save in the default Mario Paint format, .sho. It can also import .sho and play them. Another feature is that it can load and play Mario Paint savestates (.zst). It also has a wav renderer so now you don't have any excuses for not rendering your Mario Paint entries! It now even includes the bouncing mario!
As a composer, it features mostly the same features as the original Mario Paint composer for the SNES, and includes all its limitations. In fact, you can play files created in Mariopants on a real SNES!
It does have nice keyboard shortcuts and stuff which are explained in the documentation.
