'[b]Clipnote Studio'[/b] is a freeware art program designed to replicate the style of Nintendo's old DSi software "Flipnote Studio". Its chief feature is to create animations, though your submissions do not have to be animated.

An additional tool, '[l[https://meatsphere.itch.io/paperclip[PaperClip], is required in order to get your .clip file for submission; Clipnote itself stores your work in several files within your '[t[mono]\AppData\Roaming'[/t] folder. PaperClip can also render your file to GIF or MP4.

'[#[Restrictions on submit]
Your submission must be a .clip file openable in Clipnote Studio.

Note that your submission can contain audio, but most people voting on a major battle will probably not hear it, so you should not expect this to be voted upon in a major. In an XHB this might be easier, but bear in mind that the render after the battle will also only be an image.

'[#[Viewing (for voting)]
Open Clipnote Studio, click the middle of the three icons on the left (the film reel one 🎞️), then click Import at the bottom to load a .clip file. You can view and/or play it from there.

If your file is animated, PaperClip can render your file to GIF; failing that, taking a screen capture via a built-in OS tool (or a recording/broadcast software like '[l[https://obsproject.com/[OBS]), then converting that recording to GIF will work.
