The adlib format is a specific format of the soundchip '[[adlib (soundchip)].

Scream Tracker 3 modules (*.s3m) are ordinarily sample-based, but the format also supports the AdLib soundcard. Modules that use AdLib instruments exclusively are fair game for submission. The same goes for MPT modules (*.mptm).

'[#[Restrictions on submit]
The entry must be created using the '[[adlib (soundcard)[adlib] soundcard (emulation). With regards to the adlib hacks added in OpenMPT, some members may vote down entries that use more than 18 channels, as neither the YM3812 (OPL2) nor the YMF262 (OPL3) support this feature, so it wouldn't be right to call it "chipist" if it's using features not supported by the actual chip.
