Are there any easy battles to join?

that said, if you're looking to battle, here's the approach you want to take:

- join the discord server, and enter this command: "?rank XHBr" - there is a bot that posts announcements about upcoming battles, you can set up your discord so you get notifications when that happens.

- short battles, aka XHBs, are sometimes scheduled a few days in advance, sometimes a few hours, sometimes a few minutes. you just have to check the discord to see if people are talking about hosting, or if the bot is posting reminders - or check in regularly at the site, and see if there's anything in the "Upcoming Battles" section.

- if you want to do a battle, ask in the discord channel! discord / irc / web chat client really is the best way to coordinate battles, and you do need to coordinate to make sure there are enough people willing to participate!

- OR - if all that sounds like too much work - make an entry for one of the major battles, generally listed in the Call To Arms sidebar. Some majors feature multiple formats, and you can submit a different entry for each format! Also, seasonal battles (like Spring Tracks) will usually gradually add more formats as people start to enter - keep checking back to see if there's one you want to participate in! (or, again, get into discord and beg for it! it might work!)

Is there any format in particular that you're looking to battle?

depending on what format it is, and the kind of "easy" you are looking for.

EG. allgear may be easy for most peoples workflows but hard to place in due to how acessible it is.
OR. musescore is easy for me due to my experience with it but hard to find other people to battle with (like if i were the only participant its not even a "battle")
OR. puredata or panda may be easy to place in, but extremely hard to badge and get participants

so it depends what your goal is:
want points to level up? want a format you can gain badges easily in? want to just get started submitting on the site?
