pre game jam #4 convo :: BotB Academy

Hey folks! I'm ready to start a battle but I need help! Please give me theme ideas so I can choose/adapt one! Also, please list free tools that can export smaller html5 versions (easily under 25mb I think?; RPG Maker has proven to be really bad bloatware.)

I'm kind of wondering if just having a rando thing like "potatoes" is better for a theme than a type or genre of game. In that scenario people can make whatever gameplay they want as long as it contains some "potatoes". ;)

i think a rando thing would be good if it's optional, so then people can be ~inspired~ to do something based on that theme, or they do something completely different. or there could be several different possible themes to pick from.

Botb themed game, if you are thinking ideas, hostile mobs can be zombis and mumis, or you play as puke and you make a website, Its a sandbox game, or yeah

Also you have to use Web Assembly, or emulate a processor in the browser and write assembly for it, jk that would be -1 entries

i kinda like the botb-theme idea, because you could add a lot of lore into your game etc
i also planned a botb-simulator kind of game for last year's rare formats major but never finished it, so im in double-support for this idea

i like the idea of botb only grafx, it is limiting in terms of animated sprites, but then people could focus on the other aspects of the game over the art. potato is also good though

pls add a potato to the botb spriteshit so we can have both in one
