Hahaha -- the website blocks Opera browser from watching it. I think there is a documentary actually about the ChipMusic scene playing at SXSW Festival this year. Though I could be wrong, I thought this movie was just about playing classic arcade games.

Ok -- I just got done watching it. A nice change of pace from the recently usual 1960's Batman with my breakfast except it was 4x as long! xD Documentaries like this are amazing -- a film maker has to be so dedicated to cover a story that spans so much time. And how the hell do you find the next Donkey Kong champ as he starts his mission? How many pplz were they following around in hopes of their story?

AND!!

Billy Mitchell is a big wet pussy that doesn't get fucked. Seriously -- he is a bitch and a loser and has poor sportsmanship. Perfection == Douchebag!! =D

for some reason he reminds me of Parker... a bizarrely charismatic young guy who pisses his amazing potential down the drain but continues to surround himself with sycophants...

but it would be fun to have chip show/concert in coordination with classic arcade summit

just saw you're playin at the Winder Loft in the eastern market http://www.downtowndetroit.org/ddp/images/housing/EB_Brewery.jpg

wanna go to Hamtramck, get some Polish food?

heh.. yer analogy seems a little exaggerated. But who knows!!??! Maybe in a couple years we'll hear that Parker is running his own Hot Sauce company. ;D

SBX8000, Selector Catalogue & Me (and I'm sure a few others) have all had the notion to try and throw a ChipTune party/show at Pinball Petes but they want too much money to rent the place. Fun Spot is in New Hampshire which is quite a drive but god damn I wanna check that place out!! They got 4 aisles of classic machines!!! Why is it so far?!!?! ;_____;

And I've been thinking about all the music in Donkey Kong -- I think you could hear all of it under a minute. But that single measure bassline during the gameplay has a really nice driving syncopation to it.

POLISH FOOD?!?! I'll see what I can do about getting up there earlier for that. I wonder if we can bring Sarah's dog to the party? xD

that is pretty far

there is a place on packard and state called 'get your game on', a video game card/board 'NOT cardboard' ;P game place... i know they have tournaments there, plus they seem to be the only place in town that carries NES SNES SEGA games and systems.

I went in there they other day and the owner seemed allright. It's a big place, kinda. but its no arcade... ambrosia does shows last i heard, but its kinda small. I though about throwing a NES video game party there.

I wanna check out this 'Get Yer Game On' place. Maybe it could be a fun try out for a Classic Console + Chiptune party....? :D
