The sample pack it's usually a compilation of a defined number of samples/sounds to be used in a compo or a ohc. Recently, though, with the introduction of visual battles (yarh!) it also means we'll be providing palettes on the sample pack. A sample pack will contain the rules of the battle in particular, such as theme, scale usage, color usage, etc. And once it's uploaded to the site, it'll become part of the sample database of the site for all to download and use.

Sample packs on big compos

100% user contributed sounds usually uploaded to the site in a period varying from 48hours up to a week. After voting on them, the highest voted ones get chosen to be used on the remix dealie.

Sample packs on small compos

Gathered by teh host of the ohc either by his/her own sources or by asking ohc participants to send the host samples in their various forms. In the case of gfx battles ,pixel art or animations, the sample pack will also come in the form of .ZIP file containing in the case a .PNG with the colors selected due to the previous discusions on what to do on the battle and a text file explaining other limitations as canvas size limitation, colors limitations, themes, etc.
