Will not name any names. But someone registered in using a sketchy proxy server (German) from their original account. It was witnessed in the admin screen. The votes casted by this alternative identity have been deleted. Playas who do this, voting low on everything and voting themselves high, will be found out!!

Thanks to the "german proxy guy" we are now alerted again that people do this. we still have 1 day left for scanning and monitoring unfair behavior. so please behave =) next time this happens the user will be made public.

our homenetwork (me and my brother) using a proxy too

the proxy used was an intentional "anonymous surfing" proxy, and in the instant the user was activated it used
the same IP as the other user here, and once the user logged in it switched to the anonymous proxy,
(in other words, it activated the account with a regular IP (which we know the default user of), and seconds later logs in with an anonymous proxy)

that is ghey.

and that the proxy user rated the tracks 7/7/7/7/7
for the user with the default IP it actived the acount
from is just more proof that something was fishy.

I would give him a "0" in category heartmagic.. ;)

hehe, man that sucks, damn cheaters, erh but... hmm because he was a new registerd user he did not have any voting strenght, right? So it would be useless to do that

voting strength isnt that harsh. it would have effect.

And besides, the voting strength as in the x14 or x18 in your profiles doesnt have ANY effect at all on this compo.

the voting strength in the big compos are measured by
how many tracks you have voted on.

so the only voting strength here is that if you vote on 1 track of 120 it will be counted much less than the ones that have voted for all tracks.

Lame. I wonder who did this.

Better late than never.
This has also been proven to be false,
there was no "cheater", there was however unfortunate
circumstances and paranoid admins (like me). we had many tracks to keep track on in wcii , and because of the nature of some votes it looked like they had been tampered with.
But after a dialog with the "cheater" the only conclusion we could make was that it wasnt intentional.

We could have said this earlier though.
