my marching band is looking to win our fourth state title in a row and we’re in desperate need of some funding. we get no funding from our school, which is much more interested in sports than the arts despite our band being the only thing which wins.

while obviously i’m not expecting anyone to donate or anything, feel free

i feel a little bad advertising like this, but then again, is it all that much different from sharing one's album? i mean, i'm asking for support for music that i helped create...

I'm still relatively new so I won't speak for everyone but this place feels like a community that cherishes people learning music at any level. If not checking with your peers here for support, where else?
It's ridiculous that your school won't fund music but I feel like art funding in the US has gone down significantly since I was a child with the powers that be going all in on STEM and forgetting the value of art.
