Henlo, I seldom wish to promote anything of my own in an even marginally invasive way, but it has come to my attention that a game I did a sizable amount of music for (and am also a character in the in-game canon) can be voted upon for various Things for Steam's year end list.
I also never made a post promoting the game's launch nor the game's OST being made available... so.
Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer
It is a "boomer shooter" that exists within the Hypnospace Outlaw universe, developed by a character from that game. (Though obviously in reality it is the same team as Hypnospace, lead by one-time playa point recipient Jay Tholen)
The kayfabe developer is a very edgy but also kinda wholesome guy who lives in the midwest in the 00s, and this is exactly the game that kinda dude woulda made back then if he could. (i.e I had to learn how to write nu-metal)
Consider this post a plug for you to give the game a try, as I think many of us here on this Old Internet style website that hosts Doom .wads can appreciate the tenor of the game.
Also consider this post a shameless way to remind you that if you DO happen to like it (or the music 🥺) you can VOTE for it on the steam website, and then if we get in the like top 20 or something (if they even have such a thing) I can show my manager at work and be like "I DON'T NEED THIS PLACE, I'M A ROCKSTAR INSIDE OF A NICHE INDIE VIDEO GAME WITH A RATING OF OVERWHLEMINGLY POSITIVE" and finally walk away from live sound forever.
tl;dr Hey my music is in a game that is also cool. Please consider playing or at least listening to the songs, and then consider using your Democratic Powers on Steam.
if you too were in a vidya game this year that you feel pride about, please drop a Link.
