I have added a few updates to kleeder's it2moai converter:

-Sample list expanded to current list from 131 to 191 currently available
-Samples are rearranged with alphabetical names into categories (see readme)
-Samples are tuned (!) to C where applicable. Huge thanks to damifortune for documenting tuning offsets. Source samples from the original tool are kind of all over the place, and the converter accounts for these offsets for tonal samples and adjusts output accordingly. \o/
-Can now use note volume settings in support of the new volume feature available on the site
-Can adjust global volume
-Master sample volume level arbitrarily adjusted in the example module to bring tracker playback closer to moai playback volume.

I might add it as a repository up on GitHub later.

I hope this is helpful for anyone who'd like to do a moai entry for Spring Tracks but would prefer to do it in a tracker rather than in the moai UI.

a bug on Ubuntu 22.10 - https://pastebin.com/raw/TEXCuNri

the original test.it converted fine, but not after editing it (removing all patterns and creating new ones)

@nitro -- I've come across a similar bug, did you try running the script on an empty file? It needs to have at least one note, ticks set to 3, and no commands. Any of those things might cause it to break

there are new updates to it2moai !!

v0.3 was done by sean and adds support for MICROTONALITY in the form of ALTERNATE DIVISIONS OF THE OCTAVE. the script now prompts you to enter a filename as well as your desired octave division (12 is the usual). you can use "example.mptm" to load in custom tuning files to compose with, as this is a feature of .mptm and .mptm is an extension of .it

this is huge, i had never even considered that moai might take decimal/non-integer values for pitches, but it DOES. so cool.

this inspired ME to make more modifications, resulting in v0.4, which adds support for the Fine/Extra Fine Portamento Down/Up commands (EFx/FFx/EEx/FEx), which apply a pitch offset on rows containing a note. you can use this to detune individual notes like you would in .it! keep in mind it only works on rows containing a note (and it wouldn't do anything in moai anyway to pitchbend mid-note).
