here's how it works.
botbrs who score a perfectly round number (e.g. 25.000, 26.000, etc) on entries two times in a row are awarded one (1) Banane. additional Bananes are gained at 3, 4, and finally 5 entries that meet this criterion. for example, one is said to be on a 2 Banane run after getting a round-number score 3 times in a row. current major entries can retroactively gain you a banane once their results are made available.
banane streaks of all non-divisible-by-5 scores are known as ripe bananes, and are worth extra boons.
payouts modified 1/14/2025 (to be better)
when you get to one banane (i.e. two entries in a row), i will award you 200 boons. +500 if it's ripe
at two bananes (three entries in a row), i will award you 300 more boons. +500 if it's ripe
at three bananes (four entries in a row), i will award you 400 more boons. +500 if it's ripe
at four (an astounding and unprecedented achievement), an additional 1000.. and the Tasty Banane, a permanent trophy recognizing your streak of unparallel'd excellence, one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an individual in the entire universe. you can only have one of these, and on receiving it, you are no longer eligible to earn bananes. if you somehow manage to acquire the Tasty Banane again you shall receive the Even Tastier Banane Bunch. we'll cross that bridge if we come to it. which seems unlikely. same for the ripeness thing if you get that i will come to your house and personally deliver you a banane trophy
the system is named in honor of botbr billy banane, who is a real registered user here, if you can believe that.
please note that a few things will prohibit an entry from counting towards the Tasty Banane Achievement System:
- illegal entries are ignored (likely to score 5.000)
- unvoted entries are ignored (they score -5.000)
- bitpacks specifying how to vote on certain things are ignored
- there must be at least 2 voters on the entry (otherwise if it's on time it'd be round no matter what)
this is to preserve how ridiculously random it is to obtain such a round score. or, perhaps you can master the art of making something that everyone can agree upon a score for naturally...? LET'S FIND OUT
