The idea is to create short pieces inspired by parts of certain retro games.
Format Allgear, cuz that's my only badge atm, but when I earn my Wildchip badge, (hopefully soon) I will make it Wildchip.

Battle prompts will vary, but one rule is constant
You MUST use a chip from the 90s. (SNES, Genesis, N64, PS1, Saturn etc.)

I had a few ideas for the first few OHBs in this series. (in no order)

1. Earthbound Boss Encounters: wonky, playful, spooky(ish), funky. The particular sound has become very famous and recognizable over the years. (encourages usage of SNES sounds)

2. The Columns series stage themes. One of my all time favorite retro video game tunes is Columns III's Column Dive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AQ_k_WVs2c

But the series has some great tunes overall! Basically, it's like Match Mayhem, but Genesis specifically (with homage to Columns, encourages usage of Genesis sounds)

3. Retro Racing Game Menu (car and stage select) Pretty self explanatory

4. Create a song with only 4 instruments (channels) Polyphonic or Monophonic, you choose, but only 4 instruments!

5. Make a Tim Follin inspired piece. I recommend downloading the Plok sf2, or a Time Trax one if that exists, but just any song that sounds inspired by Tim Follin will do!

Anyways, those are a few ideas, what are your thoughts? I'm all ears!
(Times will most likely be random, my schedule is pretty unpredictable)

2 thru 4 particularly speak to me, though 3 doesn't seem like enough to hold up an entire series? it'd still be cool to see what people put on the table for it and 2 and 4.

name suggestions:
2 - rows, the column challenge, gems fall down
3 - rev your engines, choose your nugget, decisions on the tarmac
4 - 4 sounds or less

1 - Your name please
4 - Fsound

Those are great ideas, I meant like a name for the whole series though, like how Dami named his Yea Videogame

Something like Retro Slam or Retro somthin
each of the ideas 1-5 is just an iteration of the series, not a series itself.

- nard's challenge (in your yard)
- retro rumble
- chipped challenge
- the daily chip
- gib/gimme batol

if i were you, i would go with the silliest name(s) you could come up with. YEA VIDEOGAME is silly and not wholly descriptive of what my series even is, but it stuck nevertheless, and even spawned spinoff names like OK FOURKAY

also, we should get you that wildchip badge, huh? these are definitely wildchip material
