Heya! I didn't want to create two accounts. I didn't find a way to shrink my .it file, so I submitted one Wild-Chip with my other account and one with this account :<

Wow, really cool, and very interesting use of vocals in there . . . I wonder how much memory those samples took up. ;)

Oh, and on KungFuFurby's comment: good quality samples aren't related to CPU overhead (main CPU that is), since the Z80 is normally used for PCM playback (and often sound chip handling too). It's really a matter of good programming along with ROM space for good quality samples, that and well optimized 8-bit PCM samples in general. (PCM is limited to 26 kHz by the DAC in the YM2612, not by the CPU, and multi-channel 22~23 kHz PCM or DPCM is quite possible even with the Z80 handling the sound chips as well)

As of right now, I am stopping all production while I am in transition from my dying G5 to the Intel Mac. It's a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor running Mac OS X 10.6.8.

The G5's not completely dead, but I can no longer work with that computer in its current condition... /_\...

I voluntarily switched two other times because I thought I was actually upgrading and yet keeping older software compatibility. This one I staved off until the G5 could no longer properly function...

Key on any sample (preferably a looping one, as the noise will cut out early if you use non-looping samples), then make sure noise is enabled for the channel to output noise instead of the sample. Don't forget to set its frequency!

your gonna have to eventually upgrade to Mac OS High Sierra at some point. Snow Leopard has been out of Support for a long time now and Mozilla FireFox is no longer getting updates. you can't have Rosetta forever. Its time to find some new alternatives If that software doesn't work on Mac OS High Sierra. I will be upgrading my OS soon.

My Intel Mac is going out of commission due to a GPU heating problem. Thus, I may be online less frequently.

Technically it still works, just that this will definitely affect my productivity.

Update 12/27/20: New computer get! Got a new iMac for Christmas. Don't plan on retiring the old one yet, though... instead, I'm thinking more of a hybrid setup: the latest and greatest can be handled with the new one, while I keep my usual setup for now on the old one.

Update 1/18/20: The old Intel Mac was never successfully started again. The optical drive has been replaced twice, the second time with a brand new one. It was then that I discovered that it was failing to exit a boot loop, meaning the optical drive is no longer a factor, and something else has gone horribly wrong with it.
