Rebound through 5 different areas in your quest to... uhhh... what was the story I came up with again? No matter. YOU'RE A BALL. DO THE THING WHERE YOU BEAT THE GAME.

I really enjoyed that! All coins!!!!

Tip: It wasn't very clear that you could go below the starting area to progress further. I got kinda stuck after the pyramid and had to consult the cartridge map to see where to go next.

First run, 120 deaths, 19 coins, 21m54s.

good:
- graphics are great
- music's pretty cool
- w a t e r
- area names :D
- the whole thing is pretty polished

bad
- location progression is a bit wonky (especially the bit after the pyramid), the dynamite sticks looked like pickups
- it kinda feels like you should be short bouncing by default, I spent most of the game with it held down
- initial left/right acceleration feels a bunch too slow

ugly:
- spikes hit a hell of a lot further than their sprite would indicate and it pissed me off deeply the entire time I was playing

other:
- paged scrolling is a hell of a drug
- kinda feels like there should have been animations for which jump state you were in, apart from the hi-jump

i think i could have done better than this, especially with coin collecting (i wasn't able to pass to the right side of the underwater area, in the same place where Azura managed to bug the game >:Z

BTW, the game's very good, i enjoyed main actually the only one, but let's not focus on unimportant crappe character's physics and overall straightforwardness of this thing, the only aspect of it that gets irksome after a not-so-long while would be the music for me.

i made a TAS
of your game. there are still some mistakes in it though. my time is 3:36 - i think a time sub 3:30 is possible (for TAS of course)
also sorry for the audio, tic80 doesnt like cheat engine i guess :D

I've been wanting to play this new entry in your Rebound series for so long! And just have got to it, here's my experience with your game

My first appeal with the game was the huge reminiscence of old-school-demoscene to it, all the way from I read DevEd presents... to the very end; all the love put on all the effects and graphics is very prominent, the explosions and underwater waves were of outstanding quality for me

Gameplay-wise, I've been wanting to play a game like this for ages; it's exploration and backtracking concept is really well executed, the addition of secrets keeps my creativity awake, and even better; it demands an skill that's easy to pick, but hard to master; but what I most like about your game is that I can pick it whenever I want and know I'll have fun; just like old generation games, thanks for giving me live this experience once more

Music-wise, the OST has nostalgic Amiga-ish feeling, and each track one fits perfectly the environment they were made for, my favorite track must be the one that plays on the Pond; when I first got on it, and saw you could go underwater the only I could think was wow

Here's my first play-through stats:

13 coins
18:14 time

Tried to see all the places I though could be secret, but I still fantasy on that there's more hidden on it

Overall, big props on how it turned out, man! Now, I'm going right forward to play Rebound 2 2: Revelations!
