pretty self-explanatory. basically on your profile it'll show your timezone and what time it is for you.

one thing i think is not necessary is the whole "GMT+6:00" thing, i for one have no idea what any of these mean. ideally it'd just show what time it is for that user and/or how many hours ahead or behind they are from you.

can't you tell that already, at least to a decent approximation, from their national flag? and if someone has chosen not to display a national flag, they're probably not comfortable with sharing their timezone either.

being able to set your timezone is potentially a useful way to build in an actual timestamp for when battles are occurring [in your timezone] in addition to the existing countdown timer, along with potentially showing you the time you've chosen when scheduling a battle (which you do by scheduling a number of days/hours/minutes ahead)

iirc puke has long avoided this due to it being a headache to implement well

timezone shouldn't be public unless you want it to be though. either private or have there be a setting

i just want to see (on my view) that i posted at 6 pm instead of 1 am and that everyone is posting at 3 am. its very confusing on my end.

yeah dami i agree, i think adding an option to make it private/nonvisible is a good idea.

roz mentioned that you could tell based on flag, but honestly that doesn't work because
a) some people choose to hide it or use fake flags/pirate flags
b) there's like six different timezones in america lol-

I feel like the only accurate way for hosting XHBs is just the text in the top right saying who is online, and if there is like 6 ppl then you'll likely be fine if you host in within hour and a half :/

(but most ppl seem to be in the USA, cuz I often see the most ppl online when it's around 3pm for them, so uhh use that info or smth idk)

(also sweatynoodles the 1am instead of 6pm thing is so real)
