I'm in the mood for more chiptune music discovery, and so far a lot of my favorite chiptune albums come from BotBrs!

Ubiktune has the SOUNDSHOCK: FM FUNK

series of three albums featuring a number of BotB folks like coda and Moot Boxle. Great funky FM tracks all around.

has an old-school (2014) album on there as well, not to mention the FM-Possible

albums he did with others to flex their work with VGM Music Maker.

I miss the days of those Ubiktune Soundshock FM albums. Ironically, when I was involved with those, I had recently sold most of my FM synths...in the years since then, I've collected a ton of them...I think currently I have 14! Most of them are featured on my latest album which consists of almost entirely vintage Yamaha. But I'm not here to promote my own stuff. :)
(Side note...when they removed Soundshock 2 from Spotify it really screwed up my numbers as my contribution to that album was BY FAR my most listened-to track.
Another fun fact: "Chomp" from that album was actually designed to be a direct segue from my Summer Chip II entry "CHIPIPHANY"...I finally combined both tracks in a YouTube music video.)


I always loved that Fluidvolt album "Reflections of a Dancing Leaf". So many memorable tunes and cozy textures in there...I was listening to that a lot in my heavy BotB days. But I don't think they've been a BotBr so I guess that doesn't count?!?

The main "chiptune" music I've always loved most is just the classic NES music. I still love to listen to old Konami/Ultra/Capcom/Sunsoft stuff or anything made by Tim and/or Geoff Follin, Soyo Oka, Hip Tanaka, or David Wise to name a few.
