reposting this as its own bulletin because it turns out discord threads are finnicky and not accessible to IRC users anyway
for BOTBoBOTB i'm putting together a many-BotBr collab project in the style of a jam session, where the participants take turns doing a solo on their chosen instrument. all you need to do is pick one of the two backing tracks below (currently just drums & a bass part), solo over any part of it you want*, and send your recording to me (without the backing track!). you can email me at rozkoloro@protonmail.com or find me on discord at roz#2413.
every solo will be in the final entry - the backing tracks will be extended as much as they need to be to fit everyone's submissions.
you can also submit non-solo comping parts for the backing track but i don't promise to use all of those. i also reserve the right to chop & mix everything submitted to make everyone's recordings play nice together.
groove #1 is in A major at 90bpm - drums by ASIKWUSpulse and bass by Beej.
groove #2 is in A minor at 123bpm - drums by ASIKWUSpulse and bass by sleeparrow.
*your solo can be as long or short as you like - 8 bars would be fine.
