The guys over at <a href="http://www.2a03.org/">2A03</a> have duped me into changing the .NSF suggested plugin to <a href="http://battleofthebits.com/misc/nsfplay050503.zip">NSFplay</a> which is a stand alone player. Winamp plugin NSFplug available <a href="http://dsa.sakura.ne.jp/index.php?Downloads">here</a>.

I can't wait to see how many last minute entries we get.

hmmmm....sumthings not right...My nsf contribution is really weird, cuz the first plugin you had (NEZplug) works they way it should, but then THIS plugin/player TOTALY fuckes up the speed(or the speed is fucked in the first plays, and NEZplug finds a weird way to play it right anyway),same speed "bug" with Meridian Advance(http://www.chiptune.com/files/players/meridian.zip)even tough meridian is not that far away from the right speed..so there u go..3 different plugins/players playing 3 different speeds,so can sumone with a little more nintendo brains plz explain what exactly is wrong?..at first i thought there could be a speed bug in the nsf convertion in famitracker, but non of the other tunes i've tryied to convert has this problem so it sumthing else..but i dont know what the hell im doing so plz sumone try to explain...=)

is it supposed to be PAL?

(PAL sucks) but anyway, it shoudln't matter a TON, right? it's not like your song has been ruined :)

You can resubmit your tune -- it will replace the old one. So you've got time to get it to playback at the right speed if you want.

NTSC isn't better it;s just a different system for us Americans. Refresh rate of the screen is different between the two.

NTSC is 60FPS while PAL is 50 - this means the NES has 10 more frames per second.. this applies to the music as well. so something that runs on NTSC ran with PAL frequencies will be too slow, and vice versa.

puke7: my "away from here" NSF file seems to
have a too loud DPCM sound, (atleast in the MP3 render), is it possible to re-render it with a lower DPCM channel? =o

it does not sound that loud when playing the NSF file
for myself =( *confused*

puke7: naaah, its not really that nervewrecking,
