mioh: its a known thing but puke needs to manually fix every thread afaik, so giving links to the profiles helps

There are some cases in which this is deliberate (or at least was formerly deliberate) to my knowledge.

youre referring to closed/disabled chats, but as an admin, i can see which ones are disabled and its not the case for this entry.
in case you should not be allowed to post comments, the "post a comment"-form is not displayed in the first place.
