Hello! You may know I like to do MIDI battles (and also an album

on my other bandcamp) where I let an RNG pick the sounds everyone has to use, but I (and apparently others in the chat) thought it'd be fun to let BotBrs pick them too for a weekly battle!

If you have not submitted one and want to, you still may!
Here's what to do:

1.) Take a look at the general midi instrument list

2.) Pick FOUR SOUNDS (no GS extension) that you want to write with.
Anything on the list goes! (do not write the same sound multiple times)

3.) Comment them, along with their respective patch numbers. If you know them by their more common names you can use those of course, as the frequent MIDIrs will probably know those best.

4.) Every week(?), I will select from the list and host a battle where everyone can ONLY use those sounds (+ channel 10 drums, sometimes) and ALL sounds must be used.

There may be other rules, you'll just have to open the bitpack and see.
I will always provide a short piece of "flavor text" even if I do not set any other rules or goals, but do not get complacent and assume it will always be direction-free and without other restrictions.

5.) I will comment on your profile that your bitpack is next!

Hopefully, making a schedule for it will allow people who aren't always around for MIDI to participate, plus four sounds isn't too daunting right?! Also if you just like to vote or listen to midi music, you can make an instrument list for everyone else! Heck, you can go ahead and try to trip us up if you are that type of person.

Currently I'm just burning through them daily-ish at 11pm EDT unless something comes up.
