I wonder how it's not discussed here yet, anyway, as detailed in this article
, European Union is trying to push some really nonsensical regulations as of recent, that - in case they're not stopped - will most likely cripple the usability of internet more than any other laws did before. According to Article 13 of this proposal, all EU-based companies who host user-uploaded/generated content would be obliged to monitor and filter all traffic to detect copyrighted materials and remove it on the spot (imagine this shit affecting YT/twitter/discord/[insert anything] which currrently hold tons of content like this, most of it falling into the area of fair use).

There's also another "briliant" idea, imposing a tax on hyperlinks, apparently, as silly as it sounds like.

There's not much time left to do anything about it, but it's always worth a try, this site has some more info
on possible actions we can take

I doubt this will end up becoming the catastrophe it's projected to be. It's probably not going to pass, and if it will, people will find loopholes around it anyway.

I hope we will have another usablity major when the EU finally cripples the usability of the internet. ( 'w')

The EU has always been a pain to internet. Nobody seriously cares if a website uses cookies or not.

Look, nobody wants separate CloudNets anyway. We all wanna make money from one another and talk to one another. We'll just have to settle on some basic internet laws and leave the fucking rest to local authorities.

Rule 1.) Don't hurt/kill people or fuck kids and/or talk about it on the internet.
Rule 2.) It's bad manners to steal.

Everything else is really up to interpretation; but there are a few guidelines:

Guideline 1.) Be tolerant of others.
Guideline 2.) Don't inherently trust others.
Guideline 3.) Money makes you powerful; but it doesn't make you smart.

Maybe he commited suicide ahead of time. Broken system, yo.
