vombot needs end to end encryption between Discord and IRC.

I initially blocked vombot due to the markov chains (or those random messages). I only unblocked when it began relaying messages back and forth from Discord.

Unfortunately, it does fail in some cases, and I can confirm that mentioning vombot was a failure case. Plus, I remember at least one delayed case that caused them to be cut from IRC logs.

I just fixed the "vombot don't send messages when you say vombot's name" bug. I was looking at the code the other night and it needs a severe refactor. Originally, vombot was meant to play around on my dicksword server and twitch channel irc channel partially so sound effects could get triggered while I'm streaming on twitch. I was dead set against making this bridge between BotB on IRC and Cave Dingle on Dicksword, but a migration occurred and the BotB Chat was clearly divided and unconnected. Using vombot was a quick and easy solution for the bridge, but given the flow of information inside of vombot it is now clear that object relations are all kinds of backwards. Hopefully, the little I did today moves us towards a more stabilized state of communication between these two divisive platforms for conversation's sake! :D/
