Just an update, and to anyone seeing the ailment on my profile, I'm gonna have to scrub myself for a week.
Have discovered that one of the tracks I entered in an ohb recently (https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry/space+voyager+golgarox.sndh/47333/) was the wrong file I meant to send, and was actually used in a previous battle:(https://battleofthebits.com/arena/Entry/Not+sure+what+console+to+play+on+today.mp3/45791/).
I believe I renamed the wrong file, when I was changing the track name I wanted to submit, being unhappy with its previous name. Unfortunately I must have clicked on the wrong file, and then submitted it.

I already knew we shared some things we like in common, but during your turn in the hotseat, it was even more insane to me when I realized how identical our retro tastes and experiences are!

Ooooo I'm curious where our tastes overlapped Tex!

Like, I already knew we're both into Sonic, Treasure and Wario Land games. What I didn't know until your turn is that: we both played multiple games composed by Matt Furniss before we knew he was the composer of many of them; Sonic 2 is our favorite Sonic; we both had the sudden realization that Norio Hanzawa, who wrote the music for Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier, also wrote the music from The Simpsons Arcade Game; we share an appreciation for other Konami titles, like Rocket Knight Adventures, Castlevania 4 and Bloodlines AND; we're both into Motoaki Takenouchi's music (although, in my case, I heard his music in Shining Force II first, but both of those games you mentioned have brilliant soundtracks, too).

It's no insult to Sonic 3 & Knuckles, which is a masterpiece of a game, and technically superior. Definitely a biased favouritism in some ways. It helps that I also have terrible critique skills and find Metropolis Zone a pretty fun challenge XDDDD whereas I still can't say I enjoy Sandopolis sadly.

I'm glad that anyone who knows about the Rocket Knight series tends to revere it. It really deserved to take off more. I know it got a 4th game some years back, and I never played it, but I was extremely disappointed by the blander art style and what I heard of the music.

And ya, I think I mentioned that I'd heard of the Shining Force series, but have yet to actually play said games. Motoaki's prog rock leaning is such a treat though.

The best way to communicate your commission/request is to speak to your local pigeon. Ideally, going into a suburban domain and speaking in FM through your mind is the most appropriate way to ask.

I was considering perhaps compiling the majority of my entries and livestreaming them all at a slightly later date, as some sort of post burfday celebration of the 5 year landmark!
Of course that would require organisation, a magical power pigeons are known to lack (Hence why complete and global pigeon conquest yet remains unattained).
Regardless of whether I manage to do that, thankyou everyone!! I love to be on here as part of the community! So glad that I decided to join 5 years ago. While there's still a lot that I yet wish to accomplish, I wouldn't be half as close without this place. And even more than that is how many cool botbrs I've gotten to meet. (a handful even in person!)

First, I picked up some Asterix. The new authors are doing a surprisingly great job! Then, I started reading Witch Hat Atelier, but the library only has 4 volumes. Lastly, I just grabbed some good ol' Donald Duck lol

I grew up on comics, but haven't read many in a good while to be fair.

Me neither! Doing so again made me remember that I tend to imagine a voice cast for the characters while reading.

Yeah! I remember the experience of internally imagining how a character would sound, to then later get whiplash, when said character inevitably gets some kind of adaptation lol.
Heck never mind fiction, that's life in general x) including botb, which almost makes this conversation rather meta.

I imagine a voice for you while reading your posts, even though I know your voice sounds nothing like it. And I have this experience with lots of other people here as well lol.

I'm admittedly curious what voice you have for me in your head. As master of pigeons, I naturally would expect nothing less than a regal and unassailable vocal timbre, capturing the stupendous puissance of emanating power that I and my legions spread upon humankind.

Also reminds me of when I met Kleeder and was surprised to hear they didn't have a french accent.
