you can get picky and downvote me if you want but i just wanted to submit an .it to spring tracks and have some fun

This track was released waaay before the BotB compo (April 2013, as you can see here

) and no one said anything, so I think it'd be a bit unfair to downvote skinnyhead's song considering many other songs that were released before their BotB submissions weren't downvoted.
This is a good song, by the way. Good job :D

@raphaelgoulart: Equally there have been many entries that have broken this rule and were widely down-voted (Summer Chip 3 had several iirc).

Rules are rules, but its really down to the voter's discretion as to whether or not they chose to downvote an entry. Some people don't and won't care, while other's like me usually either cut an entry's vote in half/all 1. _{(I'm sorry Stinkbug :( )}

The thing with album tracks is that there could be licensing issues as well, esp if botb chose to put it on their bandcamp. Fortunately I don't think such issues will be the case here (theoretically).

In that case, Who Ha and Kommisar should've been downvoted as well. I don't think trophies should go to second-hand tracks. Especially gold trophies. I will keep an eye on these guys. ;)

If anything I wouldn't want to see BotB turn on into this place where established composers dump their previously-released music and take prizes from people who made songs especially for the compo.
