as an Arizonan, I approve of this song
A track that began life back in 2022, I think! One of the first tracks I wrote with a somewhat prominent vocal line. Was partially stuck in development hell because I was learning to get comfortable with my voice. Was originally thinking of submitting this for the vocal format, but the other track I'm currently cooking up (and will hopefully finish in time!) has a more prominent vocal line thruout the track that does more STUFF so I think that might be more appropriate for that format maybe!? Anyways here's the song ggght
---
Sun-melted terrains
And latter-day saints
I heard a scream from a high window pane
Man and equine
Moved in straight lines
The speed limit said 45
Boys on the street
Are packing some heat
The iron sight dream jangles down at their feet
Out in the haze
Warmer embrace
“Shut up and wipe that sneer/smile off your face” (I forgot my line while singing so adlib that word I guess!!!)
She said solemnly
“Welcome to Hell
Welcome to Arizona”
Back when we met
And watched the moon set
Loudly she sighed and wiped all the sweat from her furrowed brow
“Could've been worse,
It’s a long way to North Dakota”
