Completist points would be awarded for BotBrs voting for 100% in a compo.
(Maybe restrict it to majors only, so it would be fair for all BotBrs.)

I think it would be kind of impractical to make a whole new class just for completing votes in a major, but I do like the idea of maybe getting a little exp bonus for completing voting on majors with over, say, 200 entries maybe??

I agree with stinkbug, there should be bonus exp points for those who get 100% voting in majors... If one who voted 100% gets, like, more 10% of the criticist points he earned as a bonus... Like, if one voted in all songs on a major with 231 songs, he'd earn 23 criticist points... If one voted in all songs on a major with 32 songs he'd earn 3 points... How about it?

Having a class for something implies to me that you should actually be able to BE a BotBr of that class, but here that wouldn't be possible since completist points given for voting 100% on a compo wouldn't ever be greater than the criticist points given for voting 100% on the same compo.

A criticist point bonus for voting 100% has been proposed in the past, but my main concern about it is that people who entered under an alt or in a collab would miss out on the bonus if they didn't vote on their own entries (which we certainly don't want to encourage).

Besides, there's already an incentive for voting on more entries in a compo--voting on less entries simply isn't as effective. (voter strength)

you get criticist points for every vote, which should be encouragement enough to vote on everything. and as jangler already mentioned, your influence is vastly lowered if you dont vote on everything.


if anything, "completionist" points should be granted for entering every format in a multi-format compo. this has been an unofficial challenge at botb for a while.

Jangler has a good point... You would never be able to be of that class unless the completist points would exceed the criticist points gotten.

The voter strength is also an interesting concept, but nonetheless I would like to be able to see on a BotBrs profile, if s/he is a diligent voter or just a sloppy one. :-)

(To complicate things even more I would separate the completist value per format. It should be ok to vote 0% or 100% on formats.)

I didn't think about alts and collabs,,, I was not aware that alts are supported, but collaborations would of course be included in next years entirely collaborative Autumn Jam in BotB 3.0! :-D

I like chipchamps idea of having completionist points from entering every format. Although there would be no quality check for the entries :)

Thread title mislead. Thought this would be for people who do all battles regardless of format.

Regarding quality check: Botbers develop over the years, that's a fact regulars have been able to see from you all.

I still think bonus points for voting 100% would be a good idea, but since people seem to use alts to upload more musics(not voting on their alt's music would prevent them from getting 100%), why don't we increase the limit of songs per format? Let's say, 2 instead of only 1, maybe? idk
Also the completits points to ones who did all formats in a major compo wouldn't be a bad idea as well, I think a certain amount should be given to the BotBr (a small one, like, 50 completist points?) and then at the end of the compo, he/she earns more completist points based on the rating of the song overall, and whether it got medals or tincans or not.
