I'm listening to the BotB radio right now and I'm on the fence about if the file extensions being visible is cool or not. I guess, obviously, that making a new multi-track player would answer this question on it's own. As it is now, the only reason file extensions are attached to the entry title is because it tells you it's an OHB track rather than a major battle track, and because of laziness. ;)

It wouldn't be that hard to remove the extensions from the titles and keep it that way for the future, but I wanted to ask y'all first if you thought that was a good idea now or if I should wait until we have a multi-track player that gives more information regarding the entry.

I think it would be cool to remove the file extensions, it gives the submissions more of a title in a sense

well i once used the .it extension as part of a title of a ohb song (i have an AXE and im not afraid of using.it) but i dont think is a big deal
but the extension can also be used as a way to identify whether a ohb song was uploaded it the right format or not
so uhh i think it should stay

I, too, like the distinction between OHB and major. Unless you wanna put a micro-icon next to stuff.

I think appending an OHC icon would be annoying

I'm all for keeping the file extensions visible!!

It's only a bad idea if the file itself has the extension removed. Other than that, I don't mind.

I like the extensions being there :) an ohb entry is less of a real "piece" with a real title, so to me it makes sense that it'd just be referred to by its filename. it has a different aesthetic which i think is appropriate for ohbs.

somehow golgi's mario paint entries' titles would not be complete without the obligatory .sho appended to the end

Sounds utopian, but that needs a separate option on whether you would like to make a file extension pun or not.

I'm "very new" so I guess I never even realized that file extensions only showed for OHBs. I thought the file extension was there to show the "format" of the file. I like the file extensions.

Yes.
