The n00b s0z forum is full of spam threads from a collection of bot accounts. The accounts have been dealt with and the threads are closed but they're still there in the catalogue, taking up space and yucking up the forum.

I propose that as well as closing threads, admins should have a "close and hide" option to keep our forums free of this kind of cruft.

i agree with this, my poor baby "what's the deal with forums banning 'necroposting'?" has been completely hidden ;-;

No, that doesn't hide them. For instance, see this thread which I just double-checked by reopening and then closing with "Disable thread" - it's still there in the n00b s0z forum browser along with all the other spam threads.

disable shld just hide the thread from the academy group lists. no need for new button :D

also isnt there an admin forum for stuff like that?
